I was born in Elmira and have lived and worked in Ithaca and the greater Finger Lakes region of New York for most of my life. No matter where my adventures took me, this has always been home - and it is where I eventually married and raised my three children.
My heart has always been drawn toward service, education, and advocacy. As a young adult, I had the honor of supporting a close friend through labor and delivery. That experience made a lasting impression on me and led me to support additional births in the years that followed. I have experience supporting births in hospital settings, including a planned cesarean, and I also have personal experience with both birth center and home births. These experiences deepened my respect for the incredible work our bodies are capable of, and the powerful difference compassionate support can make.
My role as a doula can look different for every family and is always client-led. I strive to help birthing couples understand their options, feel confident in their decisions, and advocate for their needs. Using my DONA-approved doula education, I offer techniques that support the natural progression of labor through comfort measures, relaxation, and effective movement. I also have personal experience and training in lactation, positioning, natural pain-management techniques, and breathwork.
Guided by compassion and faith, I welcome families from all backgrounds, with the belief that every person deserves dignity, understanding, and supportive care.
It is a privilege to walk alongside families during one of life’s most powerful and transformative moments.
